Melodic Releases New Single, Garners Airplay by
R&B singer, Melodic released his first official solo record on June 5th on iTunes and other online retailers. The single "Pretty Faces" has been garnering airplay on multiple commercial radio stations in the Northeast and Southern Region including; Foxie 105 in Columbus, GA, Ocean City's OC 104. Melodic's airplay is an impressive achievement for an unsigned artist. Melodic broke out of the local Wilmington, DE music scene in 2009 with a soundtrack single called, "So Stellar" from the star-studded movie Steppin' starring Mo'Nique, Anthony Anderson, Wesley Jonathon, Sticky Fingaz and Darius McCrary. The single went viral registering more than 3 million widget hits. Over the last year, Melodic has played to thousands of fans in more than 20 shows from Atlantic City and Phila to MD and is especially popular with the young female demographic, often creating a fan frenzy. Melodic was the name given by a fan to the R&B and pop artist who composed what many have said are some of the most remarkable melodies and intricate harmonies that the R&B and Pop genres have heard in many years. The up and-coming artist Melodic had his first big break at age 18 when he wrote,arranged and recorded “So Stellar” for the star-studded motion picture, “Steppin’” starring Mo’Nique, Anthony Anderson and Wesley Jonathan. In the last two years, Melodic has stepped to the forefront and taken center stage. Last summer, he released his breakout single “Pretty Faces!” Recently, a buzz cut called “Move” , a dance track, caught fire, catapulting him more than 30 places to the number one spot on ReverbNation.com/Melodic, beating out artists from Philadelphia and New Jersey. It’s definitely a tough market, and there are a lot of great artists out there doing their thing. I’m blessed, and always on my hustle. I think I’m quite deserving of this because I’ve worked very hard and I have great fans so far in my career. My fans really do love and support me. AllHipHop.com: What are your biggest career accomplishments and most exiting moments? Melodic: The first big career accomplishment was when I got the placement on the soundtrack to the motion picture “Steppin’”. It was a crazy time in my life personally, and I hadn’t yet come into my own as a brand. But I stuck in that situation and got a major placement! That’s something no one can take away from me. The second would have to be performing at Delaware Teen Idol back in 2011. The response I got on stage, and the reception I received after the show from the fans was bananas!
