A Florida girl with a country heart and an eye towards an entertainment career, Kerry Conrad sang her first notes before she could walk. According to her Mom, Kerry’s cries sounded more like singing
By the time she was six years old, Kerry quickly showed a natural talent for singing, dancing and acting. She has appeared in numerous theatrical productions in South Florida, including “Grease,” “Godspell,” “Fame,” “Annie,” “Little Mermaid,” and “Westward Whoa.” She’s also appeared in two film productions, “Heart Matters,” and “Pose Down.” She has worked with Phil Osterman, a New York Broadway director, and has taken years of voice, musical theater, dance and acting classes
She has also appeared on television, twice for a “Spotlight on Youth” series on ABC, where she sang solo, “My Heart Will Go On,” and “I Get On My Knees.
“My voice has a natural twang, so I know that country music is what I’m supposed to sing,” Kerry said. On her self-titled debut album, Kerry most closely relates to the song “Girl Most Likely To,” because it’s about being spontaneous. And yes, she does sing in the shower
Even with her busy schedule, Kerry isn’t all work and no play. In her spare time, she likes hanging out with her girls, going to the mall, the beach, and the movies. An energetic, yet down-to-earth person, she’s also into working out and jogging
Along the way, many people and songs have inspired her. Kerry’s number one fan is her Dad, and her inspiration is her Mom. Musically, Kerry admires Elton John, Taylor Swift, Norah Jones and Gretchen Wilson
