Syndicate Entertainment was established in early 1997. Located in Baltimore, MD the independent label was created by its founder, President/Artist Vicious Cobra. Syndicate was started with 5 artist; Vicious Cobra, L. Smoke, Angel, Cue and Dirty Reddz. They first burst on to the scene with the group Blackness and their hit song “Cats Be Runnin’”, which made a name for the Syndicate on the local circuit. In 2001 the label grew underground cred from battles at the VIP City Lounge where the took on some of the best. The first big break came in the summer of 2002, with a performance in front of major music executives for Interscope Records. The label was to be pick up by Interscope with a label deal, but due to technicalities the deal fell through. Since then the label has grown, now the home for over ten artist(R&B and Hip-Hop); Vicious Cobra, Liqwid Smoke, J-Lee, Mys’tique, Death Angel, S.Y.N., D. Streetz, V.E.R.S.E., Vikki Stlyes, and Vintage Killa. The various artist on the label all have a unique style, which makes Syndicate Entertainment a real force on the music seen. They have had artist appear on several different events and radio shows. Not stopping at only being a indie record label but the label has branched out into several different ventures, such as Syndicate Promotions, Syndicate Films, Syndicated - Killa apparel and Syndicate Studios. Now the they host their own shows called “The Syndicate Takeover” and the Underground King Competition.
