Portrait of The Cracks
The Cracks are an Australian Halcyon Indie Rock band formed in 2008. Their name originates from the writings of Carlos Castaneda who in many writings thought to explain reality by looking at “the cracks” in society.

The Cracks began playing their stuff developing hard hitting edgy blues rock that at times drifts into abstract balladry or sing a long sailor rants.

The songs began to flow, the live show organically grew and In 2010 The Cracks entered in the LG Unsigned band competition which they won and saw them heading to Singapore to play a live set at the 2010 Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix as part of an International bill made up of artists the likes of Missy Elliot, and Flo Rida.

The band recently recorded four new tracks with Australian master producer Wayne Connolly. Caroline is the first single from this session and is a good representation of where this band are coming from

- a demented world of hedonistic, late night, rock n roll misadventure that always seems like a good idea at the time-

The Cracks are constantly working on new material that will one day be dropped as a ball tearing debut album. They're also dropping into your local drinking holes around Oz to blast out a live set. Until then here’s a little taste of what they’re all about....
