From the depths of the Orlando music scene, the electro/dance pop rock band known as Karrigan was formed in 2007 by college friends Chase Williams and Austin O'Laughlin. After recruiting drummer Keith Allen and guitarist Ryan Klein, they began writing music and practicing on the top of university parking garages. However, it wasn't very long before they were playing Orlando's most established venues. Following the addition of bassist Mike Mercado in late 2008, Karrigan began rigorously touring the country, quickly gaining momentum to become one of Florida's hottest current up and coming artists. In the summer of 2007, Karrigan rocked the elite stages of the Van's Warped Tour on the Ernie Ball Stage, followed by another Warped Tour appearance on the Kevin Says Stage in 2009. Karrigan's debut EP, "My Conscience Got the Best of Me", produced Michael Birnbaum & Chris Bittner (Coheed and Cambria, Straylight Run), has sold over 8000 copies nationally and received raving reviews from absolutepunk.net and Florida Today!. The album's single, "Summer Shadez" currently holds the #4 slot on idobi radio's "Top 100 Singles". The band is also listed #45 on idobi radio's "Top 50 Artists". The success of the album can only be attributed to the heartfelt writing of guitarist Austin O'Laughlin and vocalist Chase Williams. The band recently released a new Summer EP this July, with the new hit single, "Sleeping With Your Lights On". Karrigan's live show is a must see as their infectious dance pop will get any crowd moving to the beat and screaming at the top of their lungs for more. Come to a Karrigan show and it will be an experience you never forget. Karrigan plans to announce a national tour this Fall.
