Portrait of Cyd hedgpeth
Hey everyone,
I'm Cyd Hedgpeth ... I am 16 and I've been writing music for about 5 years. I started playing a regular coffee house gig in New Orleans when I was 12. At 13 I had a costarring role in a Disney movie called "Stuck in the Suburbs" and when I was 14 I costarred with Melissa Gilbert in a Lifetime movie, "Heart of the Storm." The producer of the Lifetime movie heard me playing at the cast party and put me together with a producer in Los Angeles.

Needless to say we had a good beginning but Katrina hit that summer and threw our lives apart I moved to Houston for a while and put all music on hold. I then spent some time with my sister, Lauren Barrett, who lives in LA. She and I cowrote a few songs with Leah Andrioni and Kevin Fisher. The music was kinda "poppy" and now Im moving into a more Indie sound.

I've been singing with my dad's band "The Prescriptions" since I was 14) and will upload a few of the covers I did with them.

This past year I was signed by Elite Model Agency out of New York and have been travelling with modeling- and trying to home school at the same time. I'm finally getting back into my music and will start writing more, now ...I'm a junior in high school this year.
I'd love to record some more with my sister Lauren Barrett - she's the one who turned me on to Our Stage.. thanks Lauren.
