Matt & Chau first met in 2006 at an underground UFOlogists Anonymous Club meeting in LA. Their fascination with ancient aliens, the space-time fabric, and other alternative concepts soon blossomed into a passion for cosmic sounds as they scoured for obscure and vintage instruments. After 2 years casually collaborating, they ended up with an over-the-top live show with excessive instrumentation for just a mere duo. This led to a publishing deal in Scandinavia and a national commercial sync, and by then, Chau had writing credits with Cyndi Lauper, and Matt had writing placements on Showtime and in a feature film too. There is an undeniable attraction to Swedish pop melody, perky synths, and electronic beats with lyrics integrating findings in their alternative news research. The result is a super fresh, passion-infused what-can-only-be-described-as: "experience", all self-composed and produced by the motivated twosome. From the initial rough kick drum sample to the video rendering, the you know who's obsession with gadgets and music is an honest testament to hard-work and loving the process of creating music. Like John & Yoko, Sonny & Cher, Simon & Garfunkel, Sam & Frodo, and the Eurythmics, The You Know Who is a duo that produces a 'feel-good' musical authenticity that is memorable and comforting.
Now you can find this Hollywood-based duo of 80s-loving gear-geeks putting on shows and producing feel-good music to channel some of the boundless energy of the universe into cosmic artistry. May artistic endeavors fueled by passion and love raise the vibration of humanity!
