Portrait of CENTER DRIVE

Center Drive was founded by Explosive Joseph in the year of 1993. He originally resided in Chicago. The original line up featured Gorge on drums , Bob on Bass & Javier lead vocals. It was a short run,but Joseph was determined to keep the Drive alive, and continued to find new members for Center Drive. Joseph had no luck untill the year of 2000

Joseph moved to Addison IL, where he met bass player Jim Rericka. Joseph and Jim jammed together for 6 years. They have been very serious about their music. Members have come and gone. Joseph then moved to Plano / Aurora land in 2005, and found Tracy Guns in 2007.Tracy left Center Drive 6 months later due to relocating. Jim then informed Joseph that he would be moving further than anticipated. The departure was a friendly one, and they are still friends today.Joseph moved on.

Since 2008, the line up has featured Dave Oliver on bass and lead vocals. With drummer Joe Walsh joining in early 2010.Center Drive plays a blues based style of hard rock and metal reminiscent of early 70’s rockers such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Ted Nugent and ZZ Top. The band has taken much of the style and feeling of those acts while incorporating a more modern day style as well. The band’s live set features well known cover songs along with some of the bands original material
Center Drive puts on a high-energy live show that appeals to a wide audience. They have previously played Chicago venues such as the Elbo Room and Nite Caps as well as clubs in the Chicago area suburbs. The band also works hard to promote its shows through its web site and email mailing list, and through flyers and press in area media outlets. At the end of 2011. Things were not going right for Joseph,Dave, and Joe.They decided to part ways in Sept. of 2011.

E.J. then started to regroup Center Drive, in late 2011. He found Brandon Jones, Lead vocals and acoustic guitar Brandon has A southern tone to his voice ,along with most of the hard rock music as well.
We just love the new sound, and we plan on having alot of fun.
