Celso Porto was born March 1, 1982 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. At the ripe age of 3 he began his self-proclaimed "New Yorican" journey. Growing up in N.Y. Celso was always dancing, singing and putting on shows for his family and friends. Participating in parades and events gave Celso the taste of the attention he desired. And the performance bug got into his blood at an early age which confirmed in his mind that performing was his calling in life. Trained and skilled in dance, piano, singing, and acting, Celso is well trained for the direction his talent is taking him. Bouncing from NYC to New Jersey to Florida to North Carolina, Celso has a swagger to his musical style that could only be formed when combining his life experience from growing up in these very different cultures. Through this Celso has been able to grow into an artist who knows who he is musically. Releasing his first album titled, "Finally Rising" it is clear that there are many sides to Celso musically. From a real Pop sound mixed with R&B and Old School with a twist of that Miami flare, Celso is ready and focused to share with the world everything he has dreamt and worked so hard for.
