The Truth is an independent artist from Utah. He started as a man with aspirations of one day becoming a famous rapper/singer. Picking up his first DAW, Magix Music Maker 12, and armed with a $12 computer microphone, he set out to chase those dreams.
Months of rugged training, research, and straight failure, The Truth finally found a mic he could use. Sound quality had improved, and now he could actually work.
Starting out writing verses to already recorded hits, such as, Same Girl by R. Kelly and T-Pain, and Shawty is da Shit by The Dream, The Truth learned the ropes of self producing as much as he could. Writing his own songs were difficult for him, yet he found people at his school to work with. People he could grow with, make songs with, and friends.
Hooking up with Da Prophecy to record the first single to his self-developed debut album, The Onyx Truth, yet to be released, he has come quite a long way. With the support of his loving, and supporting wife, he continues to pursue his dream, as becoming the new voice in hip-hop.
