A Living, Breathing, Sweating, Beast of a Band Live.
Not Metal, but the Metalheads might like it
Not Punk, but the Oi's might dig it
Not Indie, but it's fun to see a Waif Rock Out
Not Hardcore, cause they ain't got the money
Not Glam, cause it's just not their style
Not anything specific other than a heck of a Rock band.
Call us what you will. We're not genre snobs

"There is something for everyone in our music, yet integrity keeps us deeply rooted in the void between the sound of underground legends and mainstream rock n roll. Whether we play it ‘fast’ or ‘slow’ our goals are the same – ‘WE’ must: enjoy it, make it tuneful, powerful, thought provoking, exciting and unpredictable… ” (Troy Perlic
The Debut album “Old Beauty & the Broken Cross” (translated to Portuguese – Linda Velha & Cruz Quebrada – well know Lisbon suburbs where the bands rehearsal garage / studio exists) is as clever and intriguing as the album title.
11 songs were captured and mixed at Generator Studios (PT – the studio owned and operated by Miguel Marques from Easyway) and subsequently Mastered at Masterdisk USA by the Legendary Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth – Clutch – the Beastie Boys, the Afghan Whigs, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Muse, KORN, the Strokes, Biffy Clyro, Deftones, Gorrilaz, and the Killers more recently
The album is set for in Portugal via iPlay Records January 12th. Antena 3 and Radar (Portuguese Radio stations supporting Rock) have been spinning advance tracks already. Antena 3 will broadcast the bands performance at PAREDES DE COURA FESTIVAL (Sex Pistols, Biffy Clyro, Mars Volta...) during August

Include stories and themes that examine commonplace social practices, beliefs, faiths, and governments. Lyrics ‘challenge’ the audience / listener to examine both “the pretty” & “the ugly” sides of life in a unique but inviting manner.
The songs incorporate love, hate, sex, denial, optimism, relationships, entertainment, big city adventures and small town ideals representing the vast journey of singer / songwriter Troy Perlic’s existence thus far in life. Yet, somehow we get more from this band as a result of their unique attention to fundamental aspects of Rock music which seem to be missing in today’s charts and scenes. Believability, accountability, power, melody, and even grace are the real ‘turbines’ behind Komodo Wagon. The boys wear these traits on their sleeves and it could just lead them to becoming the sound to revitalize the Hard Rock genre
The band draws from an extremely wide range of influences. Here are a few - Janes Addiction, the Cult, GnR, the Hellacopters, Metallica, Thin Lizzy, the Afghan Whigs, Queens of the Stone Age, the Rolling Stones, Monster Magnet, the Cure, David Bowie etc etc
Komodo Wagon's independent Debut EP “The Devil Rock Diaries” is also available from iTune
The Troy Perlic Story
Originally a Canadian small town boy (raised in Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada – Population 3700), the quiet life couldn’t hold on to Troy Perlic. Dreams, desires and determination eventually lead him to London, England after two 3 year stints in Calgary and Vancouver, respectively. Eagerly ‘learning the ropes’ (both on stage and in the studio) in Canada and always seeming to move on to the next biggest city, London, England became his heaven & hell during the next 6 years
Championing the resurgence of London’s decadent underground hard rock scene (while the spice girls and indie music dominated Europe) Perlic soon became a regular headliner and crowd favourite in the UK. Regularly receiving critical acclaim in the UK, he battled through the loss of band members / friends during the ‘hard drugs era’ (typical) and an unruly anxiety disorder himself while steadily gaining notoriety for his bold song writing, mesmerizing performances, and sometimes mischievous behaviour. After playing the big stage at Ozzfest and a sold out show at London’s Camden Palace on October 31st, 2004 – Perlic’s band (Five Hundred & Crave) had self destructed at the height of their career. It was time to regroup, get healthy, and start again. This time on the sun drenched shores of Lisbon, Portugal
