R&B/Rock, Pop, Alternative, Funk, even a dabble into Fusion, it's easy for them to step right onto the largest of stages and successfully impact in many genres.
They are the band LEXY®. Named after the lead singer Lexy Schiess (pronounced "Sheese"). LEXY® is a band of committed musicians that offer youth, experience and a wide spectrum of musical influences brought together as a combination of new alternative rock and R&B... A style that’s unique, powerful and refreshingly original!
Out front and center is 16 year-old LEAD VOCALIST AND RECORDING ARTIST Lexy Schiess. Lexy's strong and uniquely beautiful voice allows her to sing convincingly in many styles of music; though new pop country is her favored genre. Lexy's recording career development started at age 10 and at 14 she launched her debut POP album “Today Is The Day” in Toronto, Canada, where her CD is distributed by Universal Music. Lexy's CD was produced by award winning producers: Chris Rojas of NY, NY - Pink-Jessica Simpson- Teddy Geiger /Mark Berry of Toronto, Canada, who’s credits include David Bowie, Duran Duran and others such as Steven Thomas and Andrew Lane of Nashville, TN, the latter contributed music to “High School Musical”. Between her tender age of 11 to 13, Lexy recorded a variety of demo songs with famed producer Michael Wagener of Nashville, TN who recorded for greats like Ozzy Osborne, Queen, Janet Jackson and Metallica. Lexy's insatiable drive to become a recognized entertainer includes her dedication also in dance and acting, offering a package of proven achievements to any demanding producer.
LEXY GUITAR PLAYER AND SECOND VOCAL is Craig Rainey. A singer-songwriter, formerly a main vocalist and lead guitar player in many bands over the span of his musical career, Craig offers a deep and passionate attitude in his singing and guitar style. His strong vocals and genre-bending style will pull you in (think Ed Kowalczyk of Live mixed with John Lennon, Neil Young and Chris Cornell). A product of a rock and blues upbringing, Craig’s voice fits nicely with any genre he covers and is a natural blend with Lexy Schiess' vocal.
LEXY DRUMMER is Chad Goins. Since 1981, Chad has practiced the craft of drumming and playing other percussion instruments. He has been involved in jazz ensemble, orchestra, marching drum line and many other assorted musical groups ranging from jazz-funk fusion to country-western styles. Currently he resides in Denver, NC, where he teaches private percussion lessons and lives with his wife and three needy pets.
Matthew Murray is the bassist that holds down the low end for LEXY. Matthew loves playing his BASS and comes from a background in Soul, Funk, and R&B. His hip style involves a broad rage of techniques, phrasings, rhythms, and a six string bass. When you feel your chest shuddering at a live LEXY show, his bass is where it’s coming from, please wear your seat belts accordingly!
