"Musical Fearlessness... A Rock, Jazz and Funk Fusion Party" - The Boston Globe
Rock 'n soul band Love in Stockholm emerged in 2007 from the basement parties of Allston, a low-rent neighborhood of Boston packed with college kids and musicians. They soon gained a reputation for their wild live performances, complete with blasting horns and frontman Charlie Rockwell's guttural wail.
Their newest release, A King's Ransom, is the band's first full-length record, and pays homage to classic rock greats like Joe Cocker, The Band, and Sly and the Family Stone. The entirely fan-funded record marks a turning point for the group, who came back to Boston after a grueling multi-city tour of the northeast to release the record for their hometown crowd in Allston's own Harpers Ferry.
The next chapter of Love in Stockholm remains unwritten, but you can expect big things as they gear up for the next level.
