"On Top of You" is a song inspired by the 1998 movie "Titanic." The song's chorus has the imagery of keeping yourself afloat by using the person in the water next to you as a human life raft. Morbid, yes, but the song is more about not being taken advantage of by a so called friend and learning to look out for yourself & your own best interest.
