I produced this DJ friendly track in Ableton Suite 8 using Native Instruments Absynth and Massive combined with custom created synths and audio recordings. Some fans told me I should make more Dubstep and call it Modstep, so this is my version of what a dark, melodic dubstep track should sound like. Enjoy!!

Like the ambient opening a lot but I think you could have just done your melody synth solo there and gotten a bigger impact
Bass needs to come up in the mix
By 1:20 I felt like things were a little too pokey and whoosh whoosh for my taste. I wanted more 16ths and 32nd changes in there. Study skrillex and notice how he just runs stuff through the ringer... You need to do more of that
Build at 2:20 was a big let down being I expected huge huge huge drop at that point. Unfortunately it was more of the same
Focus on bringing elements together in such a way the your music is constantly changing and evolving. Stay away from repetition and drawn out pads.
