by Pilar French

Alive was inspired by the true story of a Pacific Northwesterner who was swept out to sea after a kayaking accident. For two days and two nights he treaded water in Puget Sound and finally made a daring effort to swim to shore after realizing no one was going to rescue him. "Alive" is the title track of Pilar's second album to be released this fall. All songs touch on the human drive to persevere.

I just wanted to say sorry your song didn't get better rankings. I have been watching things on here for weeks now and you always make very nice, constructive comments, which I appreciate, I also read an article that highlighted some of the favorites for this competition. You were one of them, and I have to say that your ability to be so humble and honest makes me want to come see a show because you seem like a genuinely nice person. I think you should collaborate with(do a show together) Teri Payton sometime, she is an amazing talent and I think you two would get a long great!

No idea what happened to my other comment. I tried to say that I love this song, great lyrics, and those are some darned catchy harmonies around the 4-minute mark. Keep it up Pilar, you're awesome!
