News of Your Departure is vocalist/guitarist Shonda Holman. In 2007, she posted a video of her original tune "Chicago" for her family and friends and was discovered by a booking agent for CBR's Brewery. Early 2008, Holman met local music producer Tommy Cappel and recorded her first EP “Tangible Love.” Shortly after, Cappel booked Holman under her new name "News of Your Departure" at Scarlet and Gray Café in Columbus. She began playing regular shows at the Café and released her 2nd EP "Little Things" digitally in the summer of 2009. Holman then spent the next year and a half writing and promoting the release of "Little Things" and released her 1st full length album "Steady" in October 2010. Spring 2011, she embarked on her first east coast tour in Cleveland, Chicago, Boston, and New York City. Coming off her east coast tour, the 23 year old singer/songwriter is currently working on her 2nd full length album entitled "la nouvelle vague."
