About Alan Porter
Hudson, FL
Greetings folks!
I'm an old school bass player that had the good fortune of learning the nuts & bolts of show business from a number of extremely crafty masters early on in my career.
I worked out of Phil Walden's/Otis Redding's office (Redwal Productions in Macon Georgia) during the 60s which had me touring with a number of major national acts.
Long story short, I cut my teeth in a fast paced, high expectation world and this experience defined who I am as a player today.
I later went on to tour with several other national acts and recorded a movie sound track for "The Last Game" with Bill Deal & The Rhondels.
I created this profile to feature a song I wrote with a dear friend (Freddy Owens) called Freak 'N' Freeze off that sound track. It's a snappy horn band era R&B dance song. I hope you enjoy this blast from the horn band past.
