Man, Deadspin is a fresh face in the rock scene. Proudly representing its Boston roots, Deadspin takes a simple rock format to new extremes, masterfully creating a harmonious juxtaposition between utter perplexity and complete understanding
Leo Shemesh, Jeremy Siegel, and founding member, Ben Moss, have played music together since their high school days in suburban Boston, and as a result, many of their most spirited compositions of today have grown directly out of youthful jam marathons in their ex-drummer's mom's house. Attending college in Houston, Ben was fortunate enough to meet drummer Daniel Gould, and his percussive excellence was immediately apparent. "Man, If only I could convince him to move to Boston, we could be incredible with him on drums, " Ben thought. In a wonderful twist of fate, D was accepted to a masters program at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, and the Deadspin seed was planted
In August 2007, founding member Ben Moss regrettably disembarked the Deadspin train to pursue other insterests and spatial dimensions. This, however, has paved the way for young Berklee graduate Andrew Meehan to take his place on the axe and help lead Deadspin to new and much, much greater heights
Officially forming in June, 2006, Deadspin has steamrolled its way to an inspired repetoire of originals, compositions, vignettes, and covers, and the future is looking bright as the night moon a waxin' .
