About Deanna Brown
Playing music for people is what Deanna does best.
RollingStone named Deanna Brown, “One to Watch…the subtle blonde with a country drawl.”
Entertainment Weekly's, Michael Slezak agreed, “I’m already totally sold on Deanna Brown. Equal parts gravel, heart, and soul, has me thinking she’s a singer who could excel at country or rock or blues.”
The Louisville, KY native was a contestant on American Idol Season 8. Deanna won her ticket to Hollywood (which just so happened to be her stomping ground for the last few years) and after the show’s end, signed her first record deal with Ocean Records.
Traveler, Brown's debut album was released in October 2009. Her album is a culmination of her musical journey which has taken her from KY to FL, to LA where she used open mic nights to sharpen her craft. When prompted by a local promoter, Deanna began playing at some of Hollywood's hot spots such as the Viper Room, House of Blues, and the Derby.
Recently, Deanna's travels have taken her to the U.S. Virgin Islands where she performs with her band. Opening for a well established act and singing the National Anthem for a Super Bowl are amid the goals Deanna has set to achieve.
