About Duck Butter Rodeo
Born From The Remains of Psychas -
Duck Butter Rodeo originated at a regular Psychas band rehearsal in December of 2008. The name "Duck Butter Rodeo", the brainchild of Drummer Marty Blake, was originally scheduled to be the name of Psychas' sophmore collection of songs. Following the third and final separation with their original bass player, the band was ready to embrace a new attitude and direction for the future. Psychas was founded on the ideals of good, heavy hard rock music with a more positive lyrical message that is relevant to the experiences of every day life. Singer/guitarist Eric Babcock suggested utilizing the name Duck Butter Rodeo as the new face of the band to take that concept a step further. Marty Blake agreed and... Duck Butter Rodeo was born.
Duck Butter Rodeo: A New Attitude -
The spirit of Duck Butter Rodeo is essentialy the same as it was with Psychas; with less of the dark persona and restrictive philosophy. That concept epitomizes the new attitude established by Duck Butter Rodeo; the band having a good time playing music, and a crowd of people having a good time listening.
Embracing the Future -
