Marcus Dominic Barnett (born December 23, 1988 in St. Louis, Missouri), better known by his stage name HD (Human Dynamo), is an Unsigned American rapper. Thus far, HD has released two official mixtapes. The first of the two mixtapes “Barely A Mixtape” made a statement with it’s debut on stlmixtapes.com holding the #1 spot for 4 consecutive weeks. While pursuing a degree in Interdisciplinary-Studies( Mass Communication/Philosophy) at the University of Missouri-Columbia, HD still manages to find time to write, record and promote his music practically single handedly. Many compare his sound to that of Kanye West, mentally, and Big Sean, Drake, and Wale lyrically. While receiving numerous compliments and accolades, HD has yet to gain any major recognition from any independent/major record labels. When asked about why he doesn’t get major attention he said, “It’s a business, I understand that. I’m not going to complain about it, but at the end of the day, numbers don’t lie. You can check my stats if you like.”
