Classically trained at the prestigious Indiana University school of music, singer/songwriter Jaclyn Dima fuses blues, folk, and rock to create a soulfully unique style of her own. influences range from revolutionaries of the 60's to modern day grooves including Fiona Apple, Joni Mitchell, Janis Joplin, the Gorillaz, and Beck. a native of Cincinnati, Jaclyn grew up in a musical family, resulting in early exposure to the fundamentals of jazz, piano, and music theory. after graduation, Jaclyn performed a variety of stages throughout Cincinnati and Bloomington before moving to New York City where she plays a wide range of venues, including the west village's famed Bitter End and the brand new National Underground. She credits her creative success to an amazing community of musicians, helpful friends and family, cheap beer, coffee, good crazy times, and central park.
