About James Good
New Cumberland, PA
Hi, I'm James. I've enjoyed playing music since I was very young. Early in life my family played music at local churches and retirement communities. When I was 9 years old, my two brothers and I played some tunes at a bluegrass festival in Smyrna, Delaware. I spent a few years of my life wandering from bluegrass music, to heavy metal music, then country music, then, in about 2001, back to bluegrass music. I've been involved with a few different band configurations over the years. I really like doing bluegrass music that has great harmony, thoughtful lyrics, and where you can just feel the music pulling you along. I feel like the music I do is a gift from God . . . and I usually wind up doing tunes that talk about heaven or about "heart stuff". I play and do shows with a band called "Morning Edition". I also do some recording sessions and coach other dobro players who are learning to play. A big thank you goes to some of my radio DJ friends who help promote the music. Cristi at WQSU radio, Larry Royce at The Word FM, and Davis Tracy.
