About J-Lee of sk
J-lee was born in raised in Baltimore, MD. Growing up in Baltimore's Westside, in the neighborhood of Baltimore and Catherine and later moving to Irvington, he discovered his love for music. Raised in a family of musicians and singers, it was like he was destined for stardom. In high school he wrote poetry, fascinated with the art of rhyme. He later learned to play several different instruments and through some motivation from his sister he began to produce tracks for his friends. He soon took his love for rhyme and music and began to rap. He used his affiliation with hustlers and his own life stories as his inspiration, he became the voice for those how couldn't speak and in 1999 J-Lee was born. He joins with a group of friends which became Syndicate Entertainment. He helps co-find a group that consisted of 4 members J-Lee, vintage Killa, D. Streetz and Jay Splig which became OTM. As part of these groups he performed at several different shows and became know on the underground circuit. Through his development and growth as a artist he began to shine as a unique individual artist, and his true potential was starting to be seen. Later after the break up of his group OTM he was more determined than ever to prove that he could stand on his own as a solo artist in Syndicate. After being on 2 separate Syndicate mix tapes, he released his first solo mix tape project "life story", which brought him recognition throughout several parts of the tri state area. No as he prepares to release his first independent LP, he is determined to shake up hip-hop, much like Ali shook up the world.
