About Josh Bales
Josh Bales is a Country Music Artist originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee currently living in Orlando, FL.
Josh began his music career in 2001 when he made the tough decision to walk away from a gospel music recording contract in Franklin, TN. Not wanting to be pegged as a gospel artist only, Josh continued writing, touring, and recording independently, releasing a string of singer/songwriter driven albums: “About A Boy" (2002), “Josh Bales (2005), “Underneath the Armor” (2006).
Finally, In 2008, after six years of writing and touring, Josh began directing his songwriting and recording more explicitly toward the country music world. And it was as if he'd found his musical home!
Teaming up with producer Jim Cooper and session players from LeAnn Rimes’ band and other Nashville, TN greats, Josh recorded his first country project, "If I Was A Prince" in 2008. Within a year of the album's release Josh had garnered the attention of Nashville publishing veteran Alex Torrez along with Nashville's biggest country labels: Capitol Records, Sony, Warner Bros, and Universal South. Then In May 2009 Josh met with these labels to discuss his future in country music.
Currently Josh is writing, touring, and recording extensively, building on the overwhelming response to "If I Was A Prince." In June 2010 Josh released a brand new country single "If You Ever Came Back to Me," (Available online at iTunes and other digital music stores). This is the first of three new country singles coming in late 2010 and Spring 2011.
With literally thousands of fans spanning every demographic and musical style from gospel to pop to true blue country music listeners, Josh is busy traveling the country year-round sharing his music in all kinds of venues.
