Shareka Phillips a.k.a Ricah is a female rap artist, song writer, and producer originally from Sharon, Pa. Ricah is currently living in Richmond,VA. She comes from a strict family and was raised around violence and abuse. Ricah was limited to following her dreams so she left home at the age of 19. While chasing her dreams, Ricah tries to be very professional in her craft from writing, rapping, and recording her own material to networking and recording with other upcoming artists. Ricah has what it takes to be very successful in the music business. She understands that it is a job and she is the business. She also understands that she has to perform in order to maintain a successful career. Ricah has a studio in a spare bed room in her apartment where she does pre-recording and records for other artists as well. She is also very successful at getting her music heard and played on radio stations and by DJ's. Ricah has been on WBTJ 106.5 Da Beat several times and has music playing on other radio stations as well with over 15 spins a day. She is more than determined to educate her self about the music industry. Ricah likes reading books from authors like Donald S Passman to William M Krasilovsky, but it still hasn't been enough to keep Ricah satisfied. She says that she is starving for more attention and possible main stream exposure. Ricah believes that she is going to go very far and Richmond, Va is just a start of her career.
