With old school classics providing the soundtrack for her childhood and a gospel background, you could say that Shaleah was born into music. By 13, Shaleah continued her musical journey by writing songs. Her style of music has slowly progressed as she crossed over from R&B/Soul to R&B/Pop. By 2006, after graduating from Poughkeepsie High School, Shaleah was introduced to Shawn (Rocco Don) Deslandes, CEO of Rocco Don Records.
"The first time she auditioned for me, I could see that she was nervous, yet determined. I was taken back by her writing skills at such an early age are incredible".
With a self titled debut album under her belt, 3,000 copies + sold, & spins on numerous college radio stations, Shaleah is on her way to becoming a threat in the music industry.
Rocco Don Records is preparing to release Shaleah's second album which brings promises of hits. Already her singles, "Into You" & "Without You (OK)" have gotten the attention of many commercial radio stations & DJ's who are awaiting the release of her project.
"I can feel your greatness. You've got it and you have a beautiful voice".
