SubCity Dwellers

SubCity is a high-energy band with a party in their back pocket. They’ve got reggae, they’ve got soul, they’ve got ska and rock’n’roll. They wrap it up and deliver it at all in that patented, super heavy SubCity sound.

The group's newest venture "Where's the Noise?" (Sep. 2009) serves as testament that the octet is just as comfortable in the studio as they are on stage. Recorded primarily live off the floor, the album comes to life with dynamic intensity. They hit hard, they cook, strut and taunt, and they cool it right down, hanging out way way back on the beat. The musical styles these artists offer are heavily influenced by their individual, wide ranging tastes and backgrounds - Strong reggae, punk, soul, blues and rock'n'roll influences mix with lots of edge and occasional latin and roots feels for a truly danceable sound.
