arroyo grande, CA
From Alabama to Detroit that is where Nathan Clay of the Cool made his bones.
Pickin Cotton as a kid so Mom could buy him school cloths. Then being the only kid in school in Detroit "the Motor city" with a southern twang. Started singing right after I started talking everybody in my family sang songs. Gospel I was amazed when I found out years later that not everyone sang. Picked up the guitar at age 13 by 14 was playin in a band 7 days a week for years. Played in clubs in Detroit at age 15. Went on the road at 16 played behind. BB KING, Leon red Bone, and Many others. settle down to the blues years ago when I realized that when I had a guitar in my hands and was not thinking about what I was playing it was always the blues that would happen.
The Cool is one band I play with now.
Nathan Clay is mainly a solo artist and studio player. These songs here are Demos first cuts of songs Written By Nathan Clay that will appear in a more polished form on the up coming CD " Deeper Blue "
So I guess that might make these songs collectibles. Because they are the first version of songs to be released on the new CD Deeper BLue
