About Tinschlager
Banning, CA
Tinschläger began in a one-hundred-plus-degree garage in the Stagecoach town of Banning, CA. An RV Finance Manager, Joey “Jihad” Assof, and an RV Sales Manager, “The” Bryan Jamison, who happened to be roommates and cousins, rediscovered some dusty instruments from previous flat-lined projects. Music began.
Eventually, all the racket emanating from that stuffy garage attracted another local musician – Skylar Powell. Skylar, coming from a Punk Rock background, added a whole new level of energy and excitement to the forming group. This allowed Joey Jihad to start playing guitar again, and many of the current Tinschläger rhythms and beats were born.
As fate would deal it, the trio had a mutual long-time friend that would complete the band – guitarist-by-choice and bassist-by-request Tom “Sonny” Samaniego. The addition of Sonny freed up The Bryan to focus on what he does best – open his mouth. Now, with all positions properly manned, the band is free to shine… Free to shine like little bits of aluminum foil at the bottom of a bottle of homemade Tinschläger.
