I play a homemade accoustic/electric explorer I built in 1997. It's made almost entirely of reclaimed wood. Warvette is a little part of every one of us that truly hates the man and what he's made out of humankind. There's no gimmick here. It's all about the songs. Everything is DIY. The mic these songs were recorded on is a Realistic MC1000(!) I found in the barn I live in. I raise chickens (yes, the 'rooster song' is based on a true story) and it's a party! I may be so-so as a singer/guitar player, but who cares? Do you? Do you gravitate toward who plays the meanest guitar or sings like a pro regardless of if their songs are real, creative, and inspired? (If you love the Yngwie Malmsteen's or whatevers of the world- you don't care how bad the song is as long as you're amazed by their skill- so fuck you, american idol watching fucker) I believe in the songs I've written- over 100- I just can't seem to get a good fucking recording of any of them. Do it YOUR self!
