My name is Kelly Cisneros, I’m a 21 year old song writer/singer. I was born and raised in L.A./San Fernando Valley by a single mother who is my heart and soul. I began singing as soon as I could speak. At family get togethers I’m bombarded by the same stories about how a young toddler Kelly sat in her car seat composing and singing songs about ducks. As I grew older into my preteen years I sang Opera in the shower because I loved the acoustics, and that lead to some teasing. I was very self conscious and shy, and didn’t show my talent to anyone. However singing remained to be my #1 passion. As long as I can remember I’ve always told family who have told me to stop singing “you wont be saying that when I’m famous” In high school I joined the high school choir. My passion became stronger and I became more confident. Then after graduation I auditioned for HOLLYWOOD POP ACADEMY and was accepted, however I was un able to attend because of low finances in my family and situation. This was a big let down for me and I lost the will to follow my dream. My dream being to keep grinding until I reach my ultimate career goal, of being a singer. In my eyes life would be as close to perfect as it could be if I could live my life singing and having my lyrics heard and understood, because there is nothing better than to be able to make someone feel happy or understood with the sound of music and lyrics. After trying out for AMERICAN IDOL in August of 2006 and realizing that it isn’t only a talent search but a television show and not making it to the final auditions, I again was very hurt and my passion was dimmed. Yet here I am 3 years later, trying to pick up from where I left off and making music that I LOVE and hoping that someone out there likes it at least half as must as I do. Through the years my outlook on life in general has changed, I am no longer making music only to sit and hope for acceptance, I make music because I love to sing, music that I consider to be honest and real. I know that with the help and by grace of God I will be able to achieve anything I set out to do. I can only hope that you agree and that my music will inspire you to do what you really love.
