About Tina Cox

Brooklyn, NY

While visiting New York, you may have heard Tina’s dance hit, “Free Yourself” being played in clubs throughout New York – a track listed on billboard’s breakout for Hot Dance Club Play. The track was so hot, famed New York DJ Junior Vasquez included the song on his 2006 White Party Album. You may even caught Tina performing at such clubs as Splash Bar, Spirit, Downtime, and Club Speed in Manhattan. Tina’s back at it again with a string of club hits, “Watch Me Dance” and the irresistible “Forget Paris”, which can be heard throughout clubs in Manhattan. Also, go check out Tina live this summer!!! Coming to a club near you! Growing up in Bloomington, Illinois, dance and music have always been Tina’s passion. She started taking dance lessons and singing in church choir before kindergarten. In grade school, she started playing the piano and violin – which she continued to study all through college. She then earned a Bachelor’s degree in music at Illinois State University and a Master’s degree in Music Business at Columbia College Chicago. Influenced by such artist as Prince, Madonna, and Janet Jackson, Tina’s music is a unique blend of dance, hip hop, and R&B. Armed with a whole lot of attitude, a soul in her voice that soars beyond her 5’0 frame, and dancing that should be illegal for a white girl…Tina Cox is dangerous. She’s ready to show the world. She’s ready to make you dance.
