This song kept me listening! Good job & good luck!

Portrait of drummerboy

my Grandpa always could

Portrait of Russell Lee Herrmann
When I was a boy about five or six
I would visit my Grandpa's house
There wasn't nothing he couldn't fix
And he never threw anything out
One day I fell, I dropped and broke
My favorite piggy bank
A million tiny pieces that
Grandma swept into a bag

She said I'm sorry honey don't cry now
It's just to broken up
There's no way we can bring it back
And fix it the way it was
I looked in the bag and tears filled my eyes
I knew it was time for bed
Grandma's eyes were starting to cry
When this is what I said

I said "Grandpa can, He can fix anything! I know it's hard it's so busted up
I know he can... cause I love him so much

When Grandpa came in from working late long after I was in bed
He said grace and Grandma showed him the bag and told him what I had said
I'll never know how long it took him that night to make all the pieces fit
But when I woke up I found my piggy bank sittin' by my bed

And I said "See I told you so!"

*Repeat Chorus
