This pop-rock tune, with its Southern-flavored guitar work, is a “sort-of” love letter to a former flame. Its subject somehow manages to express his anger at possibilities lost, forgiveness for her inability to truly love another, and a regret-tinged yet selfless wish, that she someday overcome her fears of getting close, and find true love with another.
